Prince Aderemi Adekile is a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He was appointed as a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria. He was admitted as Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1992. Prince Aderemi Adekile’s vast commercial and legal experience and expertise compliment his activities as a Notary Public. Most regulatory bodies and international organizations recognize his signature and seal. Prince Aderemi Adekile is a Legal Practitioner of diverse practice backgrounds. He holds an LL.M Degree in International Economic Law and achieved a straight distinction in Company Law and Partnership. He worked for some years in the British Law Firm of Messrs. Irving and Bonnar and Bentley Edu & Co. He was a Partner (Managing) at the city commercial law firm of Messrs. Olakunle Orojo & Co. As a Counsel in those law firms, he acquired considerable experience in the fields of Oil and Gas, Environmental and Corporate Law, Industrial Property’s Registration and Litigation, Taxation, Equipment Leasing and Asset Financing, Real Estate, Foreign Investment Law and Procedure.

He maintains a keen interest in International Law and has handled a wide range of matters involving International aspects of Oil and Gas Finance, Corporate Finance and Restructuring. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACIT), he is also a member of the Section on Energy and Natural Resources Law of the International Bar Association in the United Kingdom and the International Trademark Association (INTA) in New York, USA. He has provided in-depth legal services, inter-alia in the sector of Energy Law and Practice, particularly Petroleum and Natural Gas. He has advised oil companies on tax matters generally, including tax planning, computation and taxation of expatriates and other routine tax matters. Adekile has assisted with the conduct of Due Diligence Review on several companies notable, among which are Unipetrol Plc., and National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company Plc. He was solicitor to the issue in the offer for the sale of the N25 Billion Naira Lagos State Bond, 10 Billion Naira Rivers State Bond and 5 Billion Naira Abia State Bond among other securities and capital market transactions. Prince Aderemi Adekile has also been involved in providing comprehensive due diligence review/legal services connected with the purchase, supply and installation of G.S.M., fibre and fixed wireless access systems.

In many Countries of the world a document can only be accepted internationally, if it has been notarized or formally authenticated and its genuineness is verified and certified by a Notary Public. Nigeria, like many Countries of the world require documents to be notarized before these documents can be used abroad or in Nigeria. In Nigeria, Notaries are senior members of the Nigerian Bar Association who have been called to the Nigerian Bar for at least 7 years. They are Legal Practitioners who are qualified to authenticate, prepare, attest, verify, witness and certify document for use in Nigeria and internationally. A notarial certification or authentication is generally recognized as an international “certification of authenticity”. The Hague Convention, gives international recognition to the office and seal of a Notary. From 1st October, 1936 when the Law No. 41 of 1936 of Nigeria and under the Law of No. 37 of 1936 of Laws of Nigeria, Notaries were appointed by Queen of England or her representative in the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria and registered and subscribed by the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery. Following the introduction of the Notaries Public Act Law No. 107 of 1955, they are now appointed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria. Every Notary appointed in Nigeria is by law deemed as an Officer of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
